Printing in Windows 95
With Windows 95, you may experience problems using the pass-through printing feature
of your Ditto drive. The cause of this problem is usually the printer's Status Monitor in the
printer manufacturer software. Until the printer manufacturers fix this problem, disabling
the printer's Status Monitor usually resolves the issue without affecting your printer's
performance.
At this time, the problem exists with parallel port printers connected to any type of parallel
port tape drive.
For some simple solutions, locate your printer in the chart below and follow the
instructions for the specified solution.
Printers
HP Laserjet 4L, 4+, 4V, 4SI, 4P, 5P, 5M, 6P, 6M
Brother HL630
Canon BJC 610, 620, and 4000 series
Lexmark
Okidata 600e
HP DeskJet 820C series
HP LaserJet 5L
If your printer is not listed, try solution #1; your printer may have been added to Windows
95's generic printer drivers after this guide was printed. If solution #1 does not correct
your printing problem, contact your printer manufacturer.
