Disassemble the two protection grids so that the upper part of the electric motor support can be reached.
Unscrew the 6 socket head screws taking care that screws and washers don't fall into the support.
Holding properly the motor, take away the bolts locking it to the support and separate it from the pump.
Unscrew the motor shaft screw.
Assembly MEKV65/80/100/150 Europa, MEKDV65/80/100 Europa, MEK65/80/100/150 Europa, MEK(V-R)X80, MEK(V-R)X100 series
Assemble the half coupling - motor side on the shaft of the motor adjusting it to the correct position.
Insert the washer supplied with the coupling and fix the half coupling by the screw.
Assemble motor and pump using the bolts of the support.
Reassemble the 6 socket head screws with proper washers (fig. 17).
Check that the assembled pump turns free by hand, operating on the coupling by a screwdriver if necessary.
Reassemble the two protection grids.
6.6 Motor replacement with an equivalent model
In case of replacement of the motor with an equivalent model, but without hole and screw, it is necessary to fix the coupling to the motor shaft
by a threaded security dowel of suitable dimensions (fig. 17).
Action
Drill a hole on the coupling and thread it.
Place correctly the half coupling on the motor shaft and drill the shaft
using the threaded hole as guide, up to nick the motor shaft enough
for introducing the security dowel.
Tighten the dowel pin.

Starting

7.1 Preliminary information before starting
The starting of the electric pump must be performed by qualified and experienced personnel. Before starting the electric
pump carry out a final check on hydraulic connections, electric equipments and relevant ratings. Never run the pump wi-
thout water: dry functioning, even brief, can destroy the hydraulic components.
Activate all security procedures and check the efficiency of the protections. Isolate the area within a radius of 2 metres
avoiding access to unauthorized persons.
