Transport, handling and storage
5.1
Transport and handling
The products described in this manual do not require the use of a crane, but you can use it to handling them. Once unpacked, identify the weight
of the product (on the identification plate) and use the lifting hooks points as shown in fig. 2. To reduce risks during lifting and handling
operations, be sure to operate in safety conditions checking that equipments are complying with safety norms and are suitable for the
weights, dimensions and shape of the product. Handle the product with protective gloves to avoid cut risks to hands. When lifting and
placing the pump be sure of its stability before releasing the lifting equipment.
5.2
Storage
The products described in this manual must be stored in covered and dry rooms. In case of a long storage period (over 3 months)
and/or storage in conditions with low ambient temperature, you should empty the pump (the water may freeze and cause
serious damages) and protect it with special products against oxidation and rotate the shaft periodically by hand to avoid
the possible locking. Protect from oxidation the coupling flange with a layer of grease.
5.3
Packing disposal
The products described in this manual are normally packed in cardboard boxes that must be disposed as prescribed by the local regulations
prevailing in the country in which the disposal occurs. For further informations contact the relevant authorities.

Installation
6.1
Inspections before installation
After receiving the product ensure that has not been damaged during transport and that the data reported on the identification plate of the pro-
duct correspond to the submitted order. Before carrying out the installation of the electric pump observe the following:
- Check that equipment to be used for handling, lifting and positioning the pump in the well are well dimensioned for the weight, in
good efficiency and complying with safety norms.
- Check right dimensions of the well, its straightness and dynamic level.
- Verify water quality and temperature and eventual presence of sand, mud and dissolved gas.
- Verify that rated motor power is equal or higher than the max. power absorbed by the pump and that the main electric network has
sufficient power.
- Check efficiency of probes against dry functioning.
- Verify that the pump rotates in the same direction of the motor.
