Burn
As components, turbocharger, lambda probe, exhaust manifold, among others,
can reach very high temperatures when the engine is running. Therefore, contact
with them can cause burns.
- Prevention
• Wear gloves.
• Do not place cords testers close to hot components.
• Leave the engine running only necessary to test or adjustment.
• Allow the engine to cool.
Fire and explosion
There is risk of fire and explosion, when working with the injection
system/preparation of the mixture, because of fuel and fuel vapors.
- Prevention
• Ignition system must be turned off.
• Motor to cool.
• Never smoke while working.
• Check for fuel leaks.
• Avoid any source of sparks.
• Environment should have good ventilation and exhaust.
