6.8 Connecting the control electronic and the
connection box
Caution!
Make sure the polarity is correct.
On some vehicles, the reversing light only works when the ignition
is switched on. In this case, you must switch on the ignition in
order to identify the positive and earth wires.

➤ Guide the connection cable (4 6, page 4) to the control electronics and
plug the socket onto the connection on the control electronics (see e B,
page 7).
Make sure the locking pin catches.
➤ Connect the red cable (f 4, page 7) on the control box to the positive
wire (+) of the reversing light (f 3, page 7).
➤ Connect the black cable (f 5, page 7) to the earth wire (–) of the
reversing light or to earth (bodywork).
