8 Operation
Please note
Fast moving parts may cause injury to people in the vicinity of a DGEA-... .
S Make sure that nobody can place his/her hand in the positioning range of the
moveable mass (e.g. by means of protective screens).
It should not be possible to touch the DGEA-... until it has come to a com-
plete stand.
S Make sure that no objects lie in or project into the positioning range of the
moveable mass.
Please note
With vertical mounted cantilever axes:
S Make sure that the DGEA-... is only
driven by a motor with an integrated
spring-loaded holding brake.
You can then avoid the working mass
sliding down if there is a sudden power
failure (but not if the toothed belt has a
fracture).
Do not modify the settings of screws and threaded pins if there is no request to
S
do this in these operating instructions.
Avoid the DGEA-... coming into contact with the following:
S
– Coolants which cause corrosion
– Grinding dust
– Glowing sparks
These will damage the DGEA-... .
