winding
Crown pushed home: to wind the watch; power
reserve: min. 44 hours.
We recommend that you wind your watch daily at
about the same time, preferably in the morning.
Please wind the watch before you put it on. This
way, you can avoid lateral pressure on the wind-
ing stem, which in the course of the years could
damage the stem tube.
setting the time
To set the time, pull the crown out and turn it in
either direction. This moves the minute hand, the
hour hands for local and reference time, and the
24-hour hand.
1. Begin by setting the reference time (time in
hours and minutes in the town where you live or
work) and observe the position of the 24-hour
hand in the subsidiary dial at 12 o'clock.
2. Then, set the solid hour hand to local time with
the two push pieces in the left-hand side of the
case. The push piece at 8 o'clock moves the solid
hour hand clockwise in one-hour steps, the one
at 10 o'clock moves it counterclockwise.
When the correct time is set, push the crown
home again. When you are not traveling and do
not wish to set the time for a second time zone,
the two hour hands for local and reference time
remain superimposed and your Travel Time looks
like an ordinary wristwatch.
