5. Operation
5.3- Before starting the operation
Check carefully:
If the rotor knives are sharpen;
If the machine is lubricated;
If the machine is set to the desired cut;
If the cardan shaft is properly locked in the machine shaft and in the power
take-off of the tractor.
If the tractor tires are under correct pressure. Control tractor tire pressure
regularly. This ensures safer driving and avoids destabilization in bends and
maneuvers. The lack of stability of the tractor can cause accidents.
The lifespan of the machine and its components can vary according to the
conditions of use, type of crop, climatic conditions and planting, etc.
Before starting your daily work, carefully check that the safety features such as:
the protections of the cardan shafts, the shafts, the belts, the fairings, etc. are
in perfect conditions of use.
Due to natural wear or improper operation these parts may be damaged. If you
notice any damage or wear on these safety items, replace them immediately
using the original parts.
Never use this machine with missing or poorly maintained safety items, as this
may endanger the safety of persons involved in the operation.
5.4- Starting the operation
At harvest site
Lift and lock the outlet chute;
Turn the chute by positioning it to discharge into the cart;
Adjust the direction of the jet (deflector);
Raise the machine to the desired cutting height, respecting the maximum
allowable incline for the cardan shaft (15
Turn the tractor power take-off at idle, wait for the system to fully run, and
then slowly accelerate the tractor until it reaches the indicated rotation at
the PTO;
Start harvesting slowly until you reach the most appropriated speed to the
crop conditions (height, density, humidity, slope of the terrain, etc.) and
tractor characteristics.
