Lavatory Rim Height
1. Prepare the Site
Determine the finished height and centerline of your lavatory rim.
Mark the determined lavatory rim height and center on the
unfinished wall.
IMPORTANT! The 2x4 brace must be at least 21" (53.3 cm) in length
to properly support the shelf.
Install a 2x4 brace so the vertical center of the brace is 8-3/4"
(22.2 cm) above the marked lavatory rim height.
Notch the studs to provide support for the brace.
Determine the centerpoint of the lavatory along the unfinished
wall and mark the brace.
