6. After the third press the LED flashes quicly while the EMS energy manager restarts.

3.3 Firmware update

It is possible to update the EMS energy manager firmware using different means. The latest
firmware version is available for download on the Ingeteam website (

3.3.1 Update from web browser

1. Access the website through the EMS energy manager's IP address.
2. Select the menu Device Update to access the update area.
3. Press the Check for updates button to check if there are software updates available.
4. If updates are available, press the Update button to install the updates.

3.3.2 Update via USB

1. From the Ingeteam website, download the file AAX10##IJU01## , which contains the
latest available firmware version.
2. Copy the file to the root directory of a USB memory.
3. With the EMS energy manager powered, connect the USB memory.
4. The EMS energy manager detects the USB memory connection and checks that the
stored firmware version is more recent than the current version.
5. During the update process the LED flash quickly. This process lasts approximately 3
minutes.
6. At the end of the process, the LED remain lit for 10 seconds and then they are switched
off. Then the USB memory can be removed.

3.3.3 Update via INGECON SUN Manager

1. From the Ingeteam website, download the file AAX10##IJU01## , which contains the
latest available firmware version.
2. Open the INGECON SUN Manager software.
3. In the top File menu, select Access level.
4. Enter ingeconinstaller and accept.
5. In the top Utils menu, open Comm Board Firmware Upgrade .
6. Load the file AAX10##IJU01## in the field Firmwarization File .
7. Enter Device ID for the EMS energy manager to be updated.
8. Select the type of connection (local or remote) and complete the required fields.
9. Press Add Module to Queue . The manager to be updated is added to the update list.
10. Press Start . The update process for the listed managers begins.
11. The status of the update process is displayed in the Console field.
