5 INGECON SUN EMS Tools

The INGECON SUN EMS Tools software is the PC application provided by Ingeteam to carry out
the configuration, start-up and monitoring of self consumption installations.

5.1 Installation

Download the software from the Ingeteam website, execute the installation file and follow the
instructions given in the installation process.
System requirements: Windows 7 and a minimum of 1Gb of RAM.
The application is compatible with 32 and 64-bit configurations.
.Net Framework 4.0 is required for it to operate, normally included as part of
the operating system.
INGECON SUN EMS Tools software is owned by Ingeteam.

5.2 Creating an installation

With the PC connected to the same network that the EMS energy manager is connected to and
after installing the software, launch the application from the desktop shortcut.
The following step consists of creating and installation and associating it to our EMS energy
manager. The INGECON SUN EMS Tools application has a Wizard to help with this task.

5.2.1 Using the Wizard

Carry out the following steps:
1. In the start screen, click on Wizard .
2. Select the corresponding local network interface and click on Next .
3. The serial number of our EMS energy manager displays in the left-hand window. Select it
to see its main information, such as firmware version, IP address, etc.
4. With the serial number selected, click on Next .
5. In the next step, configure the network settings of the EMS energy manager.
