render the Rope Wrench useless.
WARNING: Do not install the Rope Wrench upside down. It will not
function as designed and may interfere with the friction hitch. (Fig 5B)
• Connect the Rope Wrench to the rope. (Fig 5C)
• Attach the Fusion Rope Wrench Tether to the climbing rope into
the pulley by sliding open the pulley side plate and inserting rope.

6 \ FUNCTION PRINCIPLE
• Verify correct Rope Wrench orientation.
• Ensure the Rope Wrench engages the Fusion Rope Wrench Tether
spring at the Rope Wrench Connection Point.
• Verify pulley sheave and side plate rotate without obstruction.
• Refer to the Rope Wrench user manual for all instructions relating
to the correct use of the Rope Wrench.
• Ensure proper alignment of the connector. (Fig 6A- Fig 6B)
Always test the Fusion Rope Wrench Tether before each use!

foreign objects while in use. (Fig 7A)

alternative purpose other than for advancing the friction hitch.

8 \ USE
The Rope Wrench is NOT an ascender and plays no part in
ascending. It must, however, be pulled up along with the rest of the
system as the climber ascends. This can be facilitated by connecting the
Fusion Rope Wrench Tether to a chest harness at either of the approved
SRS ascent attachment points. (Fig 8A)

10 \ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Tether allows the user to work in compliance with the ANSI Z133
standard.
Lifespan \
Product has an indefinite lifespan. (Fig 10A) It is very
difficult to estimate lifespan due to varied use and storage conditions.
However, the following may greatly reduce the strength of the product
and consequently the lifespan: incorrect use, severe fall arrest, mechan-
ical deformation, fall from a height on the product, general wear and
tear, chemical and heat contamination.
Cleaning \
If necessary, clean with fresh water then allow to dry com-
pletely. Store in a dry place away from extremes of heat and cold and
avoid chemical exposure. (Fig 10B-10C)
