2.3.1 Fundamental hazards
Tripping hazard as a result of
cables

Any application other than or which extends beyond the intended
use is considered misuse.
WARNING!
Danger in the event of misuse!
Misuse of the lifting column can lead to hazardous sit-
uations.
–
Never use the lifting column or its components in
potentially explosive atmospheres.
–
Never use the lifting column in areas in which work
is carried out with flammable substances (class
AP/APG).
–
Never use the lifting column outdoors.
–
Never use the lifting column in areas with direct
contact to food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic prod-
ucts.
–
Never use the lifting column outside of the specifi-
cations indicated in
on page 113.
–
Never assemble or operate the lifting column
upside down.
–
Never open the lifting column.
–
Never expose the lifting column to impulse forces
and/or impact stresses.
–
Never convert or retrofit the lifting column or its
components to change the area of application or
the usability.
CAUTION!
Tripping hazard as a result of exposed cables!
If the cables on the lifting columns are not routed prop-
erly, there is a risk of injury if persons trip or fall over
them.
–
Route cables safely and properly so that tripping
hazards are prevented.
