WARNING!
• The noise attenuation of the product will be severely impaired if you do not follow the instructions in this operator's manual.
• The user must ensure that the hearing protector or the hearing protector/safety helmet combination:
– are fitted, adjusted and maintained in accordance with these instructions
– are worn at all times in noisy surroundings
– are inspected regularly for serviceability
• Hearing protectors should be worn at all times in noisy areas and be fitted prior to entering the noise area.
• The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the hearing protectors.
• Remember that hearing protectors can generally shut out external ambient sounds, such as warning shouts, alarms and other important
signals. The audibility of warning signals at a specific workplace may be impaired while using the entertainment facility. You should therefore
be especially watchful of your surroundings when wearing hearing protection.
• This hearing protector contains batteries and electrical components that may cause ignition in flammable or explosive atmospheres. Do not
use in environments where sparks may cause a fire or explosion. Misuse can result in injury or death.
• The performance may deteriorate with battery usage. The battery life time varies depending on the mode of use and volume output. For FM
Pro in radio mode about 100h, for CutOff Pro in CutOff mode about 200h and for CutOff Pro LED in CutOff mode about 500h.
• This hearing protector is provided with Level Dependent attenuation and/or electrical audio input. The wearer should check correct operation
before use. If distortion or failure is detected, the wearer should refer to the manufacturer's advice for maintenance and replacement of the
battery. (applies to FM Pro, CutOff Pro and CutOff Pro LED)
• When calculating the effective attenuation of the hearing protector, consideration should be given to the output signals of the radio
restoration. The calculated total A-weighted sound pressure level inside the cup should not exceed 85 dB.
• The output of the level-dependent circuit of this hearing protector may exceed the external sound level. (applies to CutOff Pro and CutOff
Pro LED)
• The output of the electrical audio circuit of this hearing protector may exceed the daily limit sound level. (applies to FM Pro and CutOff Pro)
• Dispose of the product and batteries in accordance with national legislation.
• The hearing protector is provided with safety-related audio input. The user should check correct operation before use. If distortion or failure
is detected, the user should refer to the manufacturer's advice for maintenance.
• Never use the hearing protector longer than 10 years from the manufacturing date stated on the packaging.
• When transporting the product ensure they are protected from chemical and/or physical damage.
ATTENUATION DATA (Table 1)
The sound attenuation values for the hearing protector are measured in accordance with EN 4869-2:2018 (with electronics switched off). Please
refer to Table 1 for further information.
Key:
f = Frequencies at which attenuation is measured
M
= Mean value
f
s
= Standard deviation
f
APV (M
–s
) = Assumed Protection Value
f
f
H = High frequency attenuation value (predicted noise level reduction for noise where L
M = Medium frequency attenuation value (predicted noise level reduction for noise where L
L = Low frequency attenuation value (predicted noise level reduction for noise where L
SNR = Single Number Rating (the value that is subtracted from the measured C-weighted sound pressure level, L
effective A-weighted sound level inside the ear)
W = Gross weight in grams, excluding batteries.
CRITERION LEVELS (Table 4) (applies to CutOff Pro and CutOff Pro LED)
Criterion levels: The sound pressure level of external sound for which the sound pressure level under the hearing protector first exceeds 85
dB(A). Values in accordance with EN352-4:2001/A1:2005, appendix A, with the volume set to maximum:
Key:
H = High frequency sound pressure level (L
M = Medium frequency sound pressure level (L
L = Low frequency sound pressure level (L
