4. Use the CID/messages (
base to enter 1YES or 2NO . For example, press the 2 number key to
select NO .
NOTE: If you choose 1YES, all settings in the answering system menu return to
the factory default.
5. Press the OK soft key. You will hear a confirmation tone, and DEFAULT
SETTING NO briefly shows in the display.
6. Press the EXIT soft key twice to return to the main menu.

When the phone is not in use, the base displays the status of the answering
system. If the answering system is turned on, it displays ANSWERER ON , if it
is off, then it displays ANSWERER OFF . The number of new messages and the
number of new CID records received flashes alternately.
The answering system stores up to 59 messages or up to 15 minutes of
messages (including the outgoing announcement). When the answering
system's memory is full, the display shows ANSWERER ON and FULL .
Messages are limited to three minutes in length for incoming calls.
