7 FlIghT COnTrOl (WIThOuT MOTIOn COnTrOl)
Please note: Only minimal corrections to the controls are necessary to ensure
smoothing flying of the helicopter!
7A Take off or increase altitude by
carefully moving the thrust and banking
controller forward.
7C Fly forward by moving the controller
for forward/backward flight and right/left
rotation carefully forward.
7E Curve left by carefully moving the
thrust and banking controller to the left,
as long as the helicopter tail is facing
toward the pilot.
7G Turn helicopter around to the left by
moving the controller for forward/back-
ward flight and right/left rotation to the
left.
8 FlIghT COnTrOl (usIng MOTIOn COnTrOl)
Let your helicopter climb to an elevation of approx 0.5 - 1 m and hold the remote con-
trol level. Now press the motion control button and you can control the flight direction
by tilting the remote control. The flying altitude and sideways flight are still controlled
with the control for thrust and sideways flight.
8A Fly forward by carefully tilting the remote control forward.
8B Fly backward by carefully tilting the remote control backward.
8C Curve left by carefully tilting the remote control to the left.
8D Curve right by carefully tilting the remote control to the right.
If you wish to fly using the directional controller again, simply press the motion control
button again.
9 TurBO MODe
Turn the Turbo switch to "ON" to be able to fly forward and backward more quickly (9A).
Warning!
Only suitable for practised pilots! Operate the controls very carefully – Sharp
manoeuvring at high speed, such as executing a tight turn, can lead to the helicopter
crashing and becoming damaged!

7B Land or decrease altitude by
moving the thrust and banking controller
backward. Only minimal corrections to
the controller are necessary to ensure
smoothing flying of the helicopter!
7D Fly backward by moving the controller
for forward/backward flight and right/left
rotation carefully backward.
7F Curve right by carefully moving the
thrust and banking controller to the right,
as long as the helicopter tail is facing
toward the pilot.
7H Turn helicopter around to the right
by moving the controller for forward/
backward flight and right/left rotation to
the right.

GENERAL FLYING TIPS:
• Always place the helicopter on a level
surface. An inclined surface can, under
certain circumstances, negatively effect
the helicopter during take-off.
• Always operate the controls slowly and
with a gentle touch.
• Always maintain visual contact with the
helicopter and do not look at the
remote control!
• Move the thrust controller somewhat
down again once the helicopter has
lifted off from the ground. Maintain
flying altitude by adjusting the thrust
controller.
• If the helicopter descends, move the
thrust controller slightly upward again.
• If the helicopter climbs, move the thrust
controller down slightly.
SUITABLE FLYING ENVIRONMENT:
The location in which the helicopter is flown should fulfil the following criteria:
• It should be an indoor location without any wind. Insofar as possible, there should
be no air conditioning systems, heaters, etc. that can cause air currents.
• The room should be at least 10 metres long, six metres wide and three metres high.
• No disruptive objects, such as fans, lamps, etc. should be present in the room.
• When initialising take-off, make absolutely sure that all persons and animals –
including the pilot – are at least 1-2 metres removed from the aircraft before flight
begins.
WARNING!
Flying model aircraft and helicopters outdoors has required mandatory liability
insurance since 2005. Contact your private liability insurer and make sure that your
new and earlier models are included in your insurance coverage. Request written
confirmation and keep this in a safe place. Alternatively, the DMFV offers a trial
membership free of charge online at www.dmfv.aero. This includes insurance.
• To fly along a curve, tapping the
directional controller very slightly in the
respective direction often suffices. There
is a general tendency during preliminary
attempts at flight to operate the
helicopter's controls too aggressively.
Always operate the controls slowly and
carefully. Never fast or fitfully.
• Beginners should first master trimming
before attempting to master the thrust
controller. It is not necessary for the
helicopter to fly straight at first. It is far
more important to maintain a constant
height of approximately one metre
above the ground by repeatedly
tapping the thrust controller. Only then
should the pilot practise steering the
helicopter left and right.
