● Before using the instrument inspect the cabinet. Do not use the instrument if it is
damaged or the case (or part of the case) is removed. Watch for cracks or loss of
plastic. Pay attention to the insulation around the connectors.
● Inspect the test leads for damage to the insulation or exposed metals. Check the
test leads for continuity on a calibrated multimeter. Replace damaged test leads
with identical models or the same specification before using the instrument.
● Don't apply a higher voltage than specified, marked or indicated in the instrument
manual, between terminals or between any terminal and ground.
● Use the appropriate terminals, function and range for your measurement.
● When using the test leads, keep your fingers behind the protective barriers.
● Always connect the common (black) probe first and then the 'live' (red) probe.
When disconnecting, do the reverse.
● Replace the battery as soon as the low battery indicator appears. With a low
battery, the instrument can produce false readings and result in electric shock
and personal injury.
● If the instrument has any defect or malfunction, do not use it as the protection
may have been affected, send the instrument for maintenance as soon as
possible.
● Remove the test leads from the instrument and turn it off before opening the
instrument case.Não armazene ou use o instrumento em ambientes:
- With strong electromagnetic field;
- With high temperature and / or high humidity;
- Flammable or explosive.
● In environments with strong electromagnetic fields, the instrument may not
operate under normal conditions.
● When making repairs to the instrument, use only components identical or
equivalent to those specified.
● The instrument's internal circuit must not be altered to avoid damage to the
instrument and/or possible accidents.
● A soft cloth and mild detergent should be used to clean the instrument's surface.
No abrasive and solvent should be used to prevent the instrument undergoes
surface corrosion, damages or accidents.
● Remove the battery when the instrument is not used for a long time to prevent
damage to the instrument.
● Check the battery constantly, as it may leak when the instrument has not been
used for some time. Replace the battery as soon as leaking appears. Battery
liquid will damage the instrument.
