The spectrometer is shipped with a 7 m long power cord (5 x 6 mm
plug, ready to be connected to the laboratory power supply.
The electrical connection of the instrument to the in-house network must be provided via fuses or
automatic circuit breakers for all phases. It must be possible to disconnect the spectrometer com-
pletely from the power supply using either a labelled switch or a labelled automatic circuit-breaker
located near the spectrometer. The fuses or circuit breakers should be easily accessible.
Moreover, an additional protective grounding (grounding resistance ≤ 0.5 Ω) in accordance with the
local regulations can be provided.
If a fault current switch is used, it must be designed for a triggering current of at least 30 mA.
For the installation, a wall outlet should be located no further than 5 m from the S4.
