Connection and operating
elements
The LCU has a standard housing with two 33-pin plug-in
terminal strips. A two-line LC display and the control keys are
integrated into the front panel for operator control and
programming. There are also three LEDs which signal the
output states of the LCU:
Green LED lit
Red LED lit
Yellow LED flashing
The LC display provides two lines each of 20 characters
(fig. 4). In addition to the programming menus, the display
also indicates all operating states of the system. Diagnostic
messages are displayed in the event of malfunctions or faults
in peripherals.
The keypad is used for programming and diagnosis of the
LCU-P in conjunction with the LC display.
