6.2.1 Access to program
Specialist knowledge required
All programming activities must be carried out by qualified
personnel.
Access to the program is possible only by entering a three-digit
code. Unauthorized penetration of the system is prevented by
the fact that after three unsuccessful attempts the system
locks. The LCD display shows the message "Code Number
Incorrect", together with a number, e.g. "23". This two-digit
number conceals a new access code, which has been
generated by the LCU-P as a result of the preceding incorrect
operation.
The number in this error message is to be reported to a
technical specialist or to the SICK After- Sales Service, in order
to discover the new 3-digit code number ("back-door code").
Access to the "blanking" function block requires a separate,
4-digit code number.
The factory default settings are:
for programming
for blanking
The 3-digit code number can be converted to an individual
code number, created by the specialist programmer acting on
the user's instructions.
