Preparing the Device for Use

Before the device is used, the entire fall restraint system has to be visually inspect-
ed to ensure it is complete, in proper condition for being used and is operating prop-
erly.
All buckles and adjusting devices [locking and restrain eyelets] must be checked
regularly.
A plan for rescue measures that takes into consideration all possible emergency
cases must be on hand before the equipment is used. Before and during use it has
to be considered how the rescue measures can be performed safely and effectively.
Fasten the Back Plate on the Restraint Harness
(1) If necessary, remove conventional harness from backplate.
(2) Install the 4 loose connecting pieces in the corresponding fastening slots of the
back plate with the silver-coloured buckle.
Insert and then align.

(3) Fasten the back plate onto the belt with the 2 connecting pieces that are im-
movably attached to the harness.
Silver-coloured buckles are inserted through the corresponding fastening

slots and aligned.
(4) Fasten the 4 loose connecting pieces that are already mounted on the back
plate with the Ergo-Click buckle [alphaFP pro model] or the black clip-on buck-
le [model alphaFP basic] to the harness.
(5) Now guide the medium and high pressure lines or SingleLine forward over the
shoulders. It can be held in place or covered with the shoulder strap cover
[alphaFP pro model].
(6) Adjust the harness and back plate so they are optimally fitted to the user.
