Each gauge is supplied with a certified high gloss calibration tile.
Other certified calibration tile values are available as optional
accessories - see Section 14.1 'Calibration Tiles' on page en-24.
All Elcometer 480 calibration tiles have a pre-programmed RFID tag
which allows automatic identification of the tile's serial number and tile
values for all angles when the tile is attached to the base of any
Model T gauge, allowing automatic calibration.
To enable / disable automatic calibration tile recognition (T):
1
Press Menu/Setup/Calibration/Tile Setup.
é
2
Use the
'Select'.
3
To disable, press 'Select' again to un-check the 'Auto Identify'
radio button.
To calibrate the Elcometer 480 Model B or to calibrate the gauge using
an independent gloss tile, the calibration tile data can be manually
entered into the gauge. The Elcometer 480 Model B does not have
automatic tile recognition therefore, the calibration tile data must be
entered manually.
