It is important to monitor the device activity while you are using the therapy.
IMPORTANT: Items to monitor include:
1. The dressing.
It should have a raisin-like appearance and be firm to the touch.

firm to the touch
If your dressing is not compressed, press down around the edges of
your dressing. If your dressing begins to draw down and compress, you
have resealed your dressing. If the dressing remains decompressed,
contact your healthcare provider.
2. The amount of fluid in the canister.
The canister should be replaced when the contents reach the maximum
volume line in the viewing window. The device will issue a Canister Full
alarm when the canister is full (see Alarms and Troubleshooting section).
If it appears full, do not wait for the alarm to change the canister.
A full canister may also trigger a blockage alarm when completely full.
3. The battery indicator at the top right of the display.
If battery indicator turns yellow or an alarm occurs, plug the device into an
electrical outlet.
4. The status indicator on the top of the device.
If the status indicator is green, therapy is on and everything is normal.
If the status indicator is yellow, there is an alarm state and attention is required.
If the status indicator is off, therapy is off. The device is either inactive or
powered Off.
5. Any alarms that may be displayed on the touchscreen.
For an explanation of any indicator lights, messages displayed on the
touchscreen and audible alarms, refer to the "Alarms and Troubleshooting"
section of this Home Healthcare User Manual.
