Note
The sensor holders must be assigned to the fitting positions based on the part numbers.

The sensor holders must be installed in such a way that the plug connectors of the sensors point to the outside.

Preparatory work:
Note
When changing the vehicle configuration it must be ensured that the current version of ODIS Service is used on the vehicle
diagnostics tester (see above "Required special tools, testing and measuring equipment and auxiliary equipment").
When the ignition is switched off, connect the vehicle diagnostics tester with ODIS service to the vehicle
diagnostics socket.
Switch on the ignition.
Carry out the online update coding of all affected control units:

Turn off the ignition.
Terminate the connection to the vehicle diagnostics tester.
Disconnect battery.

Note
The sensor installation holes -1- must be drilled in the positions marked -2- on the inside of the bumper cover (see
installation overview).
Punch the centre points of the marks and pre-drill from the inside to the outside using the drill bit -3- from the
assembly tool for PDC holder -VAS 6614-.

Installation holes with a diameter of 18.2 mm are required for the sensors. Suitable screw punches are part of the
assembly tool for PDC holder -VAS 6614-.
Place the ∅ 18.2 mm screw punch with a screw -1-, washer -2- and counter bearing -3- from the inside of the
bumper cover -5- on one of the pre-drilled holes.
Screw on puncher -4- and tighten screw -1-.
Note
The puncher -4- must not revolve on the bumper cover paint.
