The fastening screw -4- is inserted from below through the base plate of the module carrier -3-.

The buzzer of the parking aid is installed on the side wall of the module carrier -3- on the right next to the control unit.

Screw the control unit -5-, as shown with the cable connection toward the rear, to the module carriert -3- with a
screw -4-.
Fix the buzzer -1- with the expanding rivets supplied -arrows-.
Move the short part of the retrofit wiring harness from the control unit to the buzzer.
Insert the plug connector -2- in the buzzer -1- and lock in place.

Unlock the plug -2- at the diagnostic interface for the data bus -1- and remove.

The diagnosis interface for the data bus -1- is installed at the top of the module carrier.

Unlock the plug contact insert -1- on the plug for the diagnosis interface for the data bus using a screwdriver -arrow-
and pull it out.

The retrofit wiring harness -8- must be connected to the plug for the diagnosis interface for the data bus and to the
fuse holder under the dash panel.
Press the crimp connection -3- of the orange/black single wire out of chamber
lock in place in chamber
Lock the crimp connection -5- of the orange/black single wire in place in chamber
Press the crimp connection -4- of the orange/brown single wire out of chamber
lock in place in chamber
Lock the crimp connection -6- of the orange/brown single wire in place in chamber
Insert the plug contact insert into the connector housing and lock (see Fig 2, Page 6).
Plug plug connectors -1- and -2- together.
Plug the plug into the diagnosis interface for the data bus and lock (see Fig. 1, Page 6).
Lock the crimp connection -7- of the red single wire in place in chamber
Insert the 5A fuse supplied into the fuse holder in the slot F11 -arrow-.

Note
The figure shows the fitting locations and the cable routing in the case of a left-hand drive vehicle. In the case of a
right-hand drive vehicle the cable routing and the earth connection are performed correspondingly on the right side
of the vehicle.
Route the retrofit wiring harness -4- along the wiring harness of the vehicle toward the right rear wheel housing and
fasten with cable ties to the vehicle's cables and holders.
Screw the brown single wire of the retrofit wiring harness to the inner sill at the earth point -5-.

Route the retrofit wiring harness -1- further to the coupling point -arrow- above the right rear wheel housing.
Route the bumper wiring harness -2- to the coupling point -arrow-.
Plug the plug connectors of the wiring harnesses -1- and -2- together and clip tightly on the control unit holder.
Fasten the wiring harnesses -1- and -2- to the vehicle's cables and holders using cable ties.
