The epicondylitis soft clasp EpiContur® Sport from BORT is an effective aid for relief in
case of epicondylitis, the so-called tennis or golfer's arm. The clasp is positioned approxi-
mately 5 cm below the elbow joint on the lower arm and relieves the structures affected.
Instructions for use:
– You can position the pad freely with the Velcro pad. Markings are printed on the support,
showing the correct positioning. The narrower area of the pad should be placed in the
direction of the elbow joint. For this purpose, guide the Velcro tape through the plastic
eyelet.
– Then close the clasp so that it fits comfortably on the lower arm, but does not cause any
congestion.
– The pad should only exert pressure on the muscle belly when you make a fist or a grasping
movement.
– When the hand is relaxed, the BORT EpiContur® Sport clasp should be positioned
without perceptible pad pressure.
Indications:
Epicondylitis, chronic or recurring epicondylopathy, tendinopathy, strain as a consequence of
work and sports, so-called tennis/golfer's arm.
Contraindications:
Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD), lymphatic drainage disorders including unclear
soft tissue swelling distal to the positioned aid, sensory disturbances and circulatory disor-
ders in the specific body region, skin diseases in the specific part of the body.
Composition:
54 % polyamide, 40 % polyurethane, 6 % polyester
Important Note:
No re-use – this medical aid is intended for treating one patient.
If the clasp is to be worn at night, observe that the circulation is not impeded. In case of
feelings of numbness, loosen the clasp and remove it if necessary. In case of persistent
complaints, you should consult a doctor.
Neither use any creams nor ointments when wearing the support as they could damage
the material.
