4 TOOL INSTALLATION AND STARTING
Installation and starting operations
•
Plug the battery (16) into its seat inside the tool housing, until you hear a click.
•
Switch on the tool by means of the ON/OFF button (10). The display (9) lights up after a beep.

The tool is ready to be used
4.1.1
Warning for the tool starting
WARNING!
Before starting the motor, check that the chain (1) does not touch anything.
•

Do not work on a tree or a ladder, since it would be extremely dangerous.
•
Before starting any cutting task, it is necessary to wear protective clothing.
Check whether all the safety and protection devices are efficient and correctly assembled.
•
Check the bar (2) and the chain (1) for proper assembly and the chain (1) for adequate tension.
•
Check all the fixing screws for correct tightening.
4.1.2
Chain lubrication
To lubricate the chain (1):

Switch off the tool and remove the battery (16),

Place the tool on a flat surface with the front guard (5) upwards,

Put oil in the visible area between the bar (2) and the chain (1),
-
Reassemble the battery (16) and switch the tool on. Oil gets distributed over the entire chain. Now the chain is lu-
bricated.
During ordinary tool working, lubricate the chain at least every half hour.
