Micro-nozzles:
These small burners produce a very accurate flame with a low flow rate for high-
precision, delicate work (jewellery, model-making, dental prostheses, etc.). They
fit onto the welding torch valve outlet:
- unscrew the existing nozzle using the key supplied in the transparent case.
- screw on the brass adaptor, tightening it moderately with the key.
- fit your chosen micro-nozzle onto this adaptor.
- check for leaks between the welding torch valve and the micro-nozzle with
soapy water and light the equipment.
These micro-nozzles produce a gas flow rate of 5 to 12 g/h; the valves therefore
must be set precisely by opening them slowly and moderately (see page 52 -
adjusting the flame).
Comment: The hoses must be totally free of air for lighting to take place. This may
take some time (about a minute) given the very flow rates. It is quicker to bleed
the hoses before fitting the micro-nozzle.
