Campingaz® recommendations: The Campingaz® recommendations are expressed by num-
ber of stars. The higher the number the better the quality/cost ratio.
For heavy brazing: Choose solder for copper, stainless steel and aluminium.
Criteria for choosing a solder:
1) Fluidity: the solder must "wet" well to penetrate the entire joint, which makes it easy
leaktight.
2) Elongation coefficient: ability to marry part contractions and expansions (the higher the coeffi-
cient, the better the solder).
3) Solidity: mechanical breaking strength (kg/mm2).
4) Cost: less silver means more economical solder.
For braze welding: Choose braze welding for cast iron, galvanised steel, mild steels and
assemblies with different metals. It creates good mechanical strength.
An essential precaution: clean the edges of the parts to be braze welded very carefully.
