9.4.4 PC mode
Rotating axis
Danger of hair or jewelry being pulled in
• Check the safety device each time before operation
• Do not reach under the protective cover during operation
• Remove any jewelry
• Wear a hair net if necessary
•
Read the manual for the software DriveLab.
•
Never operate the motor test bench if the protective cover has been removed.
•
Deactivate PC mode before any manual intervention.
This ensures that a connected PC is only then – and not unintentionally – given control over the test
bench.
How to start PC mode
Display no. 3 "Move control to computer?" is displayed in the following case: a connected PC attempts to
take over the control of the motor test bench using the control software DriveLab (see also manual for the
control software DriveLab).
There are two ways of responding to this attempt of the control software:
•
You can block the control command by selecting "Back". The control commands are then not forwarded
to the motor test bench. The motor test bench can still be operated by hand with the rotary knob.
•
You can hand over the control of the motor test bench to the PC by selecting "Enable" and pressing the
rotary knob. Display no. 4. "PC controls" appears.
How to end PC mode
If the test bench is controlled from a PC, display no. 4 "PC controls" is displayed.
•
To deactivate PC mode:
Press the rotary knob.
Note: the test bench is now no longer enabled for control by a PC
•
Display no. 1 appears on the motor test bench as confirmation for this step.
