Setting Up

Setting up for use over wireless LAN
This section describes how to set up the machine to be used over wireless LAN (infrastructure
mode).
Important
Follow this procedure only when the machine has not yet been set up to be connected to a
wireless LAN. If the machine has already been connected to a wireless LAN, see "Setting up an
additional LAN-connected computer" on page 39.

On the Setup Method screen, select Set up
the printer/scanner and the computer and
click Next.
Important
This step should follow from step 4 in "Installing the
Software" on page 24. If the Setup Method screen
has not displayed yet, go back to the procedure in
"Installing the Software" on page 24 to complete the
installation of the software.

When the screen shown on the right appears,
connect the machine with a USB cable.
Note
To set up the machine that is not yet connected to a
LAN, connect to it with a USB cable.
