1. Warnings

BEHAVIOUR IN THE EVENT OF DANGER
Cut off the fuel inlet and disconnect the appliance using the main switch or emergency stop (outside the boiler room).
Use suitable fire extinguishers.
If a smell of gas appears (gas appliances)
-
The premises concerned shall be thoroughly ventilated by opening doors and windows.
-
Do not use electronic equipment (mobile phones, etc.).
-
Do not operate any electrical switch (light, motor, lift, bell, etc.)
-
Do not light any match or lighter, do not smoke.
-
Inform the gas supplier or the installer.
PACKAGING
After removing all the packaging, check that the contents are intact. In
case of doubt do not use the appliance and contact the supplier. The
packaging must be deposited in an appropriate place.
THE APPLIANCE
To ensure irreproachable operation and the manufacturer's guarantee,
the assembly, use and maintenance must comply with the requirements
stated in this datasheet.
Do not allow the appliance to be operated by children or inexperienced
persons.
The appliance must be applied exclusively to the use for which it has
been expressly designed. All other use must be considered improper
and so dangerous.
The minimum and maximum flow rates to which the burner is adjusted,
and all the pressures and temperatures must be within the limits stated
in this datasheet.
It is forbidden to modify the appliance to alter its performance or the
intended uses.
It is forbidden to open and adjust its components with the exception of
the parts affected by maintenance operations.
Do not touch the hot parts of the appliance. These (exhaust collector and
flue, indicator lamp, burner parts, etc) remain hot even after a prolonged
stoppage of the burner.
Do not touch the appliance with damp parts of the body and bare feet.
In the event of prolonged stoppage of the appliance, the main electrical
switch of the heating unit must be opened and the manual valve on the
fuel supply pipe closed.
The appliance contains components made of synthetic siliceous mineral
fibres (ceramic and glass fibres, insulating wools). At the end of life of
these products provide suitable disposal according to current local
legislation.
INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT
The boiler and the heating system must be installed exclusively by a
professional installer or a specialised company that will comply with the
rules of the art and the current regulations and standards.
BOILER ROOM
The boiler room must be closed by a key and possess openings to the
outside complying with the current standards. In case of doubt, measure
the CO2 with the burner working at maximum flow rate and with the
room ventilated only by the openings intended to supply the combustion
air and with the door open. The CO2 value must not change in these two
conditions. If there are several appliances working together, the test
must be done with all the appliances working simultaneously.
Do not obstruct the room ventilation openings, the burner fan inlet orifice,
any air pipes and the intake or dissipation grills.
The appliance must be sheltered from rain, snow and frost.
The room must be clean and free of volatile substances that, if sucked in
by the fan, could obstruct the internal ducts of the burner of the
combustion head.
The combustion air must be free of halogens (chlorine, fluorine
compounds, In case of doubt, the combustion air quality must be
ensured by an external air inlet.
ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY
Entrust the execution of the electrical connections to an authorised
person and comply with the current electrical regulations. Check that the
line voltage is identical to that stated on the appliance rating plate and in
this manual.
1NO0P0007-D
Varjet 1 - 14
The appliance must be correctly connected to an effective earthing
installation, done according to the current standards. Check its correct
operation, and, in case of doubt, have it inspected by an expert person.
The appliance must be connected to the electrical network by a plug
ensuring that there is no connection between the phases and the neutral.
Do not invert the neutral and the phase.
Install a main switch on the heater unit as recommended in the current
standards.
The electrical installation, and in particular the cable cross sections,
must be suitable for the maximum power absorbed by the appliance,
stated on the identification plate and in this manual.
In the event of failure of an electrical cable, its replacement must only be
done by authorised personnel.
Do not pull on the electrical cables and separate them from heat
sources.
FUEL
The appliance must be supplied with the type of fuel for which it has
been designed, stated on the rating plate.
The fuel pressure must comply with the values stated in the manual.
The pipe supplying the appliance with fuel must be dimensioned and
provided with all the safety and control equipment according to the
current regulations and standards as well as following the indications of
the burner manual. It must be perfectly sealed. The pipe must not
contain impurities during installation.
Fuel oil :
-
Protect the tank containing the fuel so that impurities or
water cannot enter it. In summer, keep the tank full of fuel
to avoid condensation of humidity.
-
Wash the tank thoroughly before putting fuel in it. Avoid
overfilling the tank!
-
The tank and the pipe supplying the appliance must be
protected against freezing.
-
Check the tank and the fuel consumption regularly to detect
any leak in good time.
Gas:
-
Check that the gas line is not showing any leaks when
commissioning and after each interruption.
BREAKDOWNS
If the appliance jams, do not persist in making more than 2 - 3 attempts
to unjam it manually. Disconnect the appliance and contact the
authorised personnel.
Any repair must be done by a centre belonging to the manufacturer's
after sales service network using original parts exclusively. Not doing this
can compromise the safety of the appliance.
Any failure and any prejudice arising from unsuitable use or voluntary
damage exempt the manufacturer from any guarantee obligations.
MAINTENANCE
Periodically, or at least once per year, maintenance operations must be
done by authorised personnel.
Before any work on the appliance, switch off the electrical power supply
using the installation main switch and close the fuel supply.
Only the parts planned by the manufacturer in the spare parts catalogue
can be replaced.
For any work on components in siliceous synthetic mineral fibres
(ceramic and glass fibres, insulation wools), the operator must wear
suitable clothing and a respiratory protection mask to avoid any specific
risk from these products.
