3) Widening the track (Fig. 19)
Track enlargements are also available. These are
mounted between the wheel hub and the wheel
itself.
There are three types: 6 cm (G), 12 cm (H) for
each wheel; and an adjustable type (I) allowing 3
to 14 cm measurements for each wheel.
ATTENTION
- Always take all possible precautions when removing the wheels. Use suitable equipment to remove
and move them.
- When fitting the wheels after having carried out track adjustments or other operations, thoroughly
tighten the bolts on the wheels and hubs. Check the torque again after 10 hours.
Wheels and tyres
Always check and adjust tyre pressure before using the walking tractor. Re-check tyre pressure at
REGULAR INTERVALS.
Tyre inflation pressures are listed in the Technical specifications of this manual.
If you notice any cuts in the sidewalls or tread, have them vulcanized immediately to avoid further
damage to the tyre.
Wheel ballast
Wheel weights weighing 15 Kg each are available for rim measurements 6.5/80-12, 5.00-12 e 5.00-10 of
the FIXED TYPE ONLY.
7. MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION
- Carefully read the instructions and safety precautions in this manual before carrying out even the
simplest maintenance operations.
- Never carry out maintenance, repair or lubricating operations with the engine running unless
specifically instructed to do so.
- When performing any maintenance, repair or lubricating operations which require the engine to be
running, always make sure you are helped by an experienced operator who is able to keep the engine
under control and take emergency action should the need arise.
- Never leave the engine running in enclosed spaces. Exhaust fumes are highly toxic.
- If any large assemblies need to be removed, make sure that they are adequately supported.
