1233 Pipe and Bolt Threading Machine
1. With reamer and die head in their UP position place
No. 763 Cutter over pipe. (Figure 5)
2. Turn carriage handwheel to line up cutter wheel to de-
sired cut off mark. A convenient viewing angle is
provided.
3. With control switch in the ON position, step on foot
switch and tighten feedscrew handle.
NOTE! Certain machines do not include foot switch.
4. Turn feed screw handle until cut-off is completed.
5. Release foot switch, turn machine OFF and return
cutter to its UP position.
Pipe Reaming with No. 743 Reamer
(Figure 6)

1. With cutter and die head in their UP position, swing
reamer into its operating position.(Figure 6)
2. With the control switch in the ON position, step on foot
switch and feed carriage towards the pipe.
3. With slight handwheel pressure, feed reamer into
pipe to achieve desired ream.
4. Turn machine off and return the reamer to its UP po-
sition.
NOTE! Certain machines do not include foot switch.

Installing Dies in Nos. 924, 926, and
928 Receding Die Heads
NOTE! Die heads do not have to be removed from car-
riage to change dies.
1. Pull back on size adjustment knob on die head and
fully open die head by sliding cam plate in direction of
CHANGE DIES arrow on cam plate. (Figure 7)

2. Remove worn dies from die head. Die head must be
placed in UP position to remove bottom (2) dies.
3. Insert new dies into slots making sure number on die
agrees with number on die head.
4. Pull back on size adjustment knob and rotate cam to
desired size setting.
5. Engage size adjustment knob into slot of desired
setting.
Threading with Nos. 924, 926 and 928
Receding Die Heads (Right Hand Only)
1. Install proper die set. Refer to die installation pro-
cedure.
2. Swing cutter and reamer to UP position.
3. With die head in working position, firmly push on
cocking lever to set die head. (Figure 8)
4. Turn ON/OFF switch to the ON position. Step on
foot switch.
5. Feed carriage towards chuck to bring die head
against end of pipe in one continuous motion.
Continue to apply pressure to handwheel to start
dies. (Figure 9)
