WARNING
Fitting of children. When fitting children, there is the risk that they might swallow small system
components. This can result in a risk of injury.
Never leave children unattended during the fitting.
CAUTION
Adjusting the electrodes. If the electrode settings are excessively sensitive, powerful electro-
magnetic radiation (e.g. in the vicinity of high-voltage power lines, transmitters, transformers,
department store security systems) may cause malfunctions of the 7in1 Controller 9E420 and
the connected components. This can result in a risk of injury to the patient.
Ensure that the electrode settings are at the lowest possible sensitivity.
CAUTION
Penetration of liquids. The penetration of liquids may lead to malfunction or defects of the 7in1
Controller 9E420 and result in a risk of injury to the patient.
The 7in1 Controller 9E420 may not be used for bathing prostheses.
CAUTION
Installation of cables. Improper installation may cause damage to the cables. This can lead to
faulty control or malfunction of the 7in1 Controller 9E420 and result in a risk of injury to the patient.
When installing the cables, make sure there are no tight angles or kinks.
CAUTION
Use of unsuitable prosthetic components. Using unsuitable prosthetic components may lead to
faulty control or malfunction of the 7in1 Controller 9E420 and result in a risk of injury to the patient.
Only combine the 7in1 Controller 9E420 with prosthetic components approved by Otto Bock
(see Instructions for Use and catalogues).
CAUTION
Incorrect assembly. Incorrect assembly of the prosthetic components may lead to faulty control
or malfunction of the 7in1 Controller 9E420 and result in a risk of injury to the patient.
For proper assembly, pay special attention to Section 9 „Connecting the 7in1 Controller" in
these Instructions for Use.
