– maintenance.
The CABINET BOOSTER set requires just a few routine
checks:
– precharge of the diaphragm tank must be checked (0.3-
0.5 bar lower than starting pressure);
– tightening of bolts securing suction and discharge mani-
folds must be checked annually.
12.2. MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
If the pump is being replaced temporarily due to a fault or
maintenance, the booster set can work with just one pump
by applying the blind oval fl ange supplied.
Removing a pump:
1. close the isolating valve installed downstream of the sin-
gle pump (11) and isolating valve on the suction manifold
(4), remove the hexagonal
catching the water in any suitable container to avoid
fl ooding the cabinet.
2. Remove the screws and nuts holding the oval counterf-
langes, and pull the pump (1) out horizontally.
3. Apply the blind oval fl ange and seal supplied upstream of
the pump, using the same screws.
4. Dry any surfaces water has leaked on to, open valve (4),
valve (11) on the discharge line stays closed, and restart
the set.
To refi t the pump:
1. repeat the operations under points 1 and 2 above (valve
11 is closed).
2. insert the seal at the bottom, insert pump (1) horizontal-
ly, insert the seal at the top and fasten with the screws.
If you have trouble, loosen the oval counterfl ange a few
turns and retighten as appropriate, or loosen the screws
securing the rubber-coated anchor collars at the top (31),
fi t the pump and retighten the collar screws.
3. Fill the pump with water (sect. 11.1.)
4. Repeat point 4 above.
Replacing the nonreturn valves:
1. close the isolating valve installed downstream of the
pumps (11) and isolating valve on the suction manifold
(4), and the isolating valve upstream of the set, if one

POSSIBLE CAUSES
a. Master disconnector off.
b. Power cut.
c. Power cord not connected properly.
d. Auxiliary circuit fuse FU4 blown.
e. HERTZ ONE circuit boards faulty
a. Hours of operation of pump one have ex-
ceeded parameter TnAm (set to 600).
b. Hours of operation of pump two have ex-

water in any suitable container to avoid fl ooding the bot-
tom of the cabinet.
3. Unscrew the 3-way fi tting (51) upstream of the isolating
valve (inside or outside the cabinet).
4. Loosen just the front screws securing the rubber-coated
anchor collars (31), remove manifold (2) and replace
nonreturn valves (7), making sure you always insert them
on the manifold to the right depth.
5. Repeat the above procedure in reverse order, fi ll the
pumps and restart the set.
Replacing the transducer:
1. Cut off the electricity supply, close ball valve (17), remove
the transducer's right-angle connector, unscrew trans-
ducer (18) and replace it, making sure the threaded con-
nection is watertight.
2. Dry any surfaces that have become wet as a result of
leaks or residual water.
Replacing the pressure gauge:
3. Close ball valve (17) and replace pressure gauge (16).
4. Thoroughly dry any surfaces that have become wet as a
result of leaks or residual water.
Replacing the expansion tank:
5. Cut off the electricity supply, allow the tank to cool, vent
pressure from the system and hence from the tank.
Close ball valve (13) and replace tank (19), keeping an
eye out for water leaks. The replacement tank must have
the same technical and dimensional specifi cations as
the old one.
6. Make sure the threaded connection is watertight.
7. Dry any part of the board or other surface inside the cabi-
net that has become wet as a result of leaks or residual
water.
