Depending on the recipe, 10 beeps may sound after a while and ADD flashes on the
display, with the arrow pointing to ZUGABE (ADD). In this case, you can add ingredients
at this point, e.g. fruit, nuts, raisins, etc.
5. Open the lid and add the items.
6. Close the lid again. The programme will continue automatically.
The timing for when the signal sounds depends on the bread making
programme selected.
You can also use the + and - buttons to start the appliance, see section
"Using the timer".
During preparation and baking
RISK of burns
− The housing becomes very hot during the baking process. Burns risk! If
you need to open the lid, only hold it by the handles.
− The dough container also gets very hot. Let the whole appliance cool
down a bit before taking the dough container out. Use oven gloves or
similar when you need to hold the dough container or the handle of
the dough container.
General
While the appliance is kneading the dough, there will always be noises and
obvious vibrations. This is normal.
The scale shown on the left and right edge of the display indicates which phase of
the process the appliance and the dough are currently in, at any time.
The window may be steamed up at the start of the baking process. After a while,
however, the condensation will escape through the ventilation slots and the
window will clear again.
Keep the lid closed as much as you can during the baking process. If you do need
to open the lid, e.g. to add more ingredients, only open it briefly. This prevents the
dough from collapsing. In addition, the appliance could suddenly "start up" as the
bread maker switches to the kneading phase.
End of programme
When the bread maker has completed the programme, 10 long beeps will sound and
the appliance will automatically switch to keeping warm mode. The appliance then
switches off.
If the bread is warming in the appliance for a long time, the crust may be
darkened.
