2. Necessary preparatory work on
the vehicle
- Detach boot trim panelling with tool kit
- Change gas springs on the boot lid
Only vehicles with check control module
- Prise out boot trim panelling on the sides
- Dismantle rear seat bench
- Remove left side part of seat
- Detach sill strips
- Dismantle lower shroud of steering column
3. Fitting of the front spoiler and of
the left and right lower parts of
the front spoiler
F 36 51 603 ZS
Place front spoiler (1) against the M front apron (2),
mark drilling sites and drill holes Ø = 5.5 mm.

Screw on in the central area the front spoiler (1)
with screws (2), washers (3) and nuts (4).

Screw the lower part (1) of the left and right front
spoiler and the front spoiler (2) on to the M front
apron with screws (3) and nuts (4).
4. Creating the attachment
drill holes

Mark off given measurements for drill hole (1) on
the boot lid (2) and predrill the hole (1) with 5 mm
and then 8 mm drill, then redrill to 10 mm.
In vehicles with script nameplate on the boot
lid, the right hand side drilling template (c) is to be
trimmed accordingly.

Open boot lid (1), apply drilling template (c) and
drill through the centre holes (arrows). Watch out
for the mark GT/US. Predrill hole (2) and redrill it to
10 mm. Predrill hole (3) and redrill it to 18 mm.
See drilling notes.
Repeat work on the left side of the boot lid.

5. Assembly of the rear wing after
painting
F 36 51 691 ZS
Stick chafe guards (f and g) on the two mounting
surfaces of the lower parts of the rear wing (a2).

Screw together rear-wing upper part (a1) and rear-
wing lower part (a2) using cheese head screws and
washers as shown.
Tighten cheese head screws (k and m) hand
tight.

Insert cable set (r) in the passage in the rear
wing (a) and connect it to the brake light. Attach
brake light (h) with screws (n) to the rear wing (a).

Stick (see arrows) the right and left stamped-out
adhesive pieces (d and e) to the lower parts of the
rear wing (a2), as well as the adhesive strip, as
shown.
Red protective film must point towards the
boot lid.

Stick motor vehicle registration agency sticker (i) in
the embossed area (1) of the lower part of the rear
wing (a2).
6. Fitting the rear wing
Pre-treat the mounting surfaces where the rear
wing is to be stuck to the boot lid as described
under instructions for use of adhesive.

Insert cable (r) into the drill hole (1) and put on the
grommet (r1). Pull off all the protective film from the
stamped-out adhesive pieces (d and e). Pull off the
protective film from the adhesive strips (j), in each
case to approx. 10cm from the ends. Align rear
wing (a) on the boot lid appropriately and set it
down carefully. Raise the rear wing (a) very slightly
and pull off all the protective film from the adhesive
strips (j). Press rear wing (a) on to boot lid.

Screw down rear wing (a) with cheese head
screw (1) and washer (o). Tightening torque 7 Nm.
Press covers (q) into the drill holes (1).
Repeat work on the left side of the vehicle.
