SPARK PLUG MAINTENANCE

The spark plug condition is important for adequate
engine operation.
When you notice engine problem, however unimportant,
you must check the spark plug and replace it if the
outside insulator were broken or chipped.
If dirty, clean the inside of the spark plug with a scraper.
If unsure about its functioning, replace it for a new one.
Gap between spark plug electrodes must be 0.7 or 0.8 mm.
Thermal Grade for 4-cycle ROBIN SUBARU engines:
SPARK PLUG (NGK) BPR6ES or SPARK PLUG
(DENSE) W20EPR-U or equivalent in other plug brands.
To replace a plug, the engine must not be very hot. If removed while engine is
hot you may be burned and may damage the cylinder head thread.
When placing the spark plug, it must be threaded manually until it reaches the end of the
thread. Then tighten using a plug spanner.
NOTE: spark plug must be tightened adequately because it takes air from the plug joint, the
engine may overheat and be damaged.
• ENGINE AND MACHINE RUNNING-IN
During the first 5 hours of operation, work should be confined to periods of up to a
quarter of an hour. Work should not extend beyond half an hour until 15 hours of
operation.
NOTA: If you follow our running-in recommendations, the machine will last many more years.

• BLADE REPLACEMENT

Blades are normal wear parts of the machine
and require frequent replacements.
Blades will be changed when, being the
depth lever at its lowers position, working
depth is insufficient.
