• To replace the blades, consult a ROBIN SUBARU dealer.
• Blades pose a very serious cutting risk and the greater the wear, the sharpest
and consequently the more dangerous they are.

Never touch the blades with the engine on, and always remove the spark plug cap.
•

• CLEANING
NOTE: Do not clean your scarifier with a water jet, as parts such as the carburettor, the air
filter, the start and the exhaust may become wet, thus damaging the machine.
Clean your scarifier using a brush or compressed air.
STORAGE
• IF THE MACHINE IS GOING TO BE STOPPED MORE THAN 4 HOURS
If the machine is going to be stopped for more than 4 hours, leave the carburettor as
clean as possible. To do so, proceed in the following manner:
When the engine is running, instead of stopping it by releasing the engine safety stop
handle (Fig. 6), turn off fuel valve and leave the engine running until fuel in the
carburettor runs out.
Thus, your scarifier shall be in perfect condition for a good start.
• LONG PERIOD STORAGE
If the machine will be stopped for a long period of time, you must remove the fuel from
the tank and carburettor, leaving them very clean.
We recommend that you begin by taking out the spark plug. Then, use the spark plug
hole to pour oil of the same kind used by the engine.
Once full of oil, place the plug again without tightening it, and grasp the handle of the
starting rope and pull several times so that the oil covers the sleeve and the piston to
prevent rusting. Then, tighten the spark plug.
NOTE: Store out of the weather.
Do not store it with livestock or in humid places, as it could be subject to corrosion.
