Problem
The motor won't
start.

Possible cause
No fuel.
Bad (old) fuel in the tank
without stabilizer additive.
Bad, defective spark plug
or incorrectly set gap
between spark plug
electrodes.
Spark plug flooded.
The motor is cold.
Problem with fuel system,
ignition system,
carburetor, motor
components (valves), etc.
Air filter contaminated
Bad (old) fuel in the tank
without stabilizer additive.

Action
Fill up with fresh fuel in the
tank.
Drain fuel from tank and
carburetor and add fresh fuel
to tank.
Inspect the spark plug and
replace if necessary.
Clean (e.g. with extraction
fluid) and install again.

Contact service for further
fault diagnosis.
Inspect and clean or replace
with a new one.
Empty the fuel tank and
carburetor and fill up with
fresh fuel.
