ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION MANUAL
B1 PULIMATIC INSTALLATION
B1.1 Before installation
The following instructions guarantee your safety. Please read them completely and carefully before
installation and keep them for future reference.
Warning! Before installing equipment make sure that the system delivers water intended
for human consumption complying with the European drinking water directives 98/83/CE.
PuliMATIC is not equipped, in its standard version, with anti-flooding devices or with devices aimed
atverifying, checking and triggering an alarming in the event of uncontrolled water leaks. If
necessary, providefor a suitable anti-flooding device separately. Check for the presence of a visible
drain properly dimensioned in order to correctly receive and drain the water coming from the filter
during the backwashing stage.
To avoid external contamination, always keep the filter in their original closed box and remove it
only immediately before the installation. During transport and storage, the equipment must not be
subjected to temperatures below 5 °C and above 40 °C.
Warning! The Manufacturer declines all liability for damages to property or persons
resulting from the incorrect installation of the filter and/or the installation of the filter in a
system not complying with the laws in force.
Pay attention to the threads of the connections that could cause
hand cuts and abrasions.
B1.2 Installation requirements
The installation of the filter is a significant modification to the drinking water plumbing system, then
it must be carried out in a workmanlike manner by a qualified technician, in compliance with local
laws, regulations, and standards.
PuliMATIC filters must be installed in a hygienically suitable, dry, clean place, indoors,
away from: frost, direct exposure to sunlight, humidity and atmospheric agents (rain, snow,
hail).
The plumbing system created for the installation of equipment connected to the water
supply network must be equipped with a system capable of ensuring the non-return in the
network of the treated water, as well as with a manual or automatic by-pass valve system
that allows the delivery of untreated water, interrupting the supply of the treated one.
Check that the pressure and temperature of the supply water are within the technical data
of the equipment. In case of network pressures higher than the maximum pressure even for
short period, install a protective pressure reducer upstream. The pressure must be at least
1,5 bar.
The permissible limit values of the environmental parameters for the installation are as follows:
Minimum/maximum ambient temperature (°C): 5 – 40.
Install PuliMATIC on the cold water piping, downstream of the water meter and upstream of the
equipment to be protected.
Warning! Make sure that plumbing system be hygienically safe and does not present risks
of bacterial growth (for example dead branches, sources of bacterial proliferation...).
Do not install PuliMATIC:
