1. SAFETY
• This operating and installation manual
contains important instructions to follow
for the fitting, operation and maintenance
of the Sanisub Steel. Following these
instructions guarantees safe operation and
prevents injury and property damage.
• Only use the pump in the fields
of
application
documentation.
• The pump must only be operated in
technically perfect conditions.
• The pump must only pump the fluids
described in this documentation.
• The pump must never operate without
pumped fluid.
• Never exceed the usage limits defined in
the documentation.
• The safe operation of the pump is only
ensured if it is used as described in this
manual.
• If the instructions of the operation
manual, especially the safety instructions,
are not observed, or in case of unauthorized
modifications of the plant or the installation
of non-original spare parts, the guarantee
expires automatically. The manufacturer
assumes no liability for damages resulting
from such behaviour.
• Identification of warnings:
Defines a high risk of electrical
danger, which can lead to death
or serious injury, if not avoided.
Defines a medium risk of danger,
which can lead to serious or mi-
nor injury, if not avoided.
Defines dangers to the machine
and its proper operation.
2. DESCRIPTION
2.1 AREA OF APPLICATION
Sanisub Steel is suitable for conveying slightly
contaminated water with suspended solids (no
rocks) from private households or commercial
use.
The size of suspended solids
must not exceed 10 mm.
The pump must not be used to convey:
• waste waters containing substances which
attack or damage the pump's materials,
• waste waters containing faeces.
2.2 OPERATING PRINCIPLE
When the level of effluents in the manhole
described
in
or the pit where Sanisub Steel is installed is
sufficient, the float switches the pump ON.
Effluent is automatically lifted to flow into the
discharge pipe. When the water level goes
down, the float lowers and switches the pump
OFF.

3. INSTALLATION
3.1 FITTING THE NON RETURN VALVE
The enclosed check valve
order to prevent liquid from flowing back from
the hose/piping after switching off the pump:
• Hold the valve by the disc.
• Place the valve, with the disc facing upwards,
on the discharge connection.
3.2 HYDRAULIC CONNECTION
Connect the discharge connection to a pipe
or duct with a minimum internal diameter of
25 mm.
When using the system in a lifting station
(e.g. Sanifos), also refer to the installation
instructions of the tank.
