This overload is mainly determined by mechanical causes, such as dirt in the gear motor gears, stiffness caused by
insufficient lubrication, difficulty in feeding the thread spool, constriction in the thread sheath along the torch cable,
etc.
Therefore, clean the gear motor assembly and check whether the problem persists during operation without wire feed.
In this case, the problem probably lies in deterioration of the motor winding or of the mechanical gear set built into the
motor and requires replacement of motor (11).
If necessary, perform the wire feed motor operating tests in section 3.3.7.
3421 -58- Firmware version alignment error or error during update
This alarm indicates that programs in the INV boards on power board (56) and panel (47) are incompatible.
For example, this may occur following replacement of one of the two boards, power (56) or panel (47), without
subsequent re-programming of the welding system, or due to an error during firmware update or due to a board failure.
Update the power source firmware to the latest version available (see section 2.4).
3422 -61- "L1 Low" on display A Incorrect mains voltage (no phase)
If the missing phase also feeds the services transformer, the power source may also lock with error signal 10, 14 or
30, instead of error 61.
Panel board (47) checks the three mains voltage phases are present via the "MAINS" signal generated by power board
(56).
The "MAINS" signal can be checked at:
R56(+) terminal (near J10), same side as J10 and terminal J5-B(-), on power board (56).
Possible values:
<+0.1 VDC
= mains OK;
+0.8 VDC, approx = phase missing, error 61;
+5 VDC
= mains not OK, error 99.
Perform the tests in section 3.3.1 and, if necessary, replace power board (56) and/or panel board (47).
3423 -73- "TH0" on display A Temperature beyond the input bridge rectifier limits
3424 -74- "TH1" on display A Temperature over secondary diode assembly limits
3425 -72/77- "TH2" on display A Temperature over Brake-SRS module limits
With these alarms, it is not advisable to turn off the power source, in order to keep fans in operation and therefore
obtain fast cooling.
Resetting of normal operation occurs automatically once the temperature returns to within the permitted limits.
− Check fans (26) are working correctly;
− check that the air is flowing correctly and that the ventilation tunnels contain no dust or obstacles. If necessary,
service air filter unit (76);
− check that the work conditions comply with the technical specifications values; in particular respect the "duty
cycle";
− check wiring between J5, J6 on power board (56) and NTC sensors located on heatsinks of secondary diode
assembly and input bridge rectifier of power board (56), J8 terminals 9-10 of INV board on power board (56) for
temperature sensor of SRS module;
− check the correct installation and operation of the NTC sensors positioned on the heatsinks of the secondary diode
assembly and the input bridge rectifier of power board (56); their signal can be measured at the terminals of J5, J6
on power board (56), at room temperature. Their resistance must be approximately 4.8 Kohm, the resistance of J3
on SRS control board (15) must be 0 ohm.
