Basic Settings
The appliance has various basic settings. You can
adjust these settings to the way you usually cook.

Deactivating the beep
A short beep confirms that an icon has been touched, a long
beep warns that an incorrect operation has been performed.

Child lock
This function allows the childproof safety function to be acti-
vated.

Returning to the cooktop default settings
This function reases the settings that were made with the spe-
cial function menu by using the setting menu š.

Element selection
The last programmed element always remains selected. This
can be changed. The element will only remain selected for
5 seconds. To activate and to deactivate the function, select
£. or £ with the setting control.

Power Management Function
This function is used to limit the total power of the cooktop.
There are 19 levels. The intermediate levels are marked with a
dot.

The cooktop has to be turned off.

Turn on the cooktop using the main switch.
In the next 10 seconds, the t indicator will

appear. Touch the symbol <for at least
4 seconds, until you hear the second confirmation
beep.

Select the desired value using the knob. Turn the
knob to the desired setting. The selected value
will be indicated with a dot (see figure).
Touch < again for at least 4 seconds, until a

beep sounds to confirm.
The settings have been correctly stored.
Quit basic settings menu
To leave the basic settings menu, turn off the cooktop
with the main switch.
