The mecablitz always automatically operates
in the TTL flash mode when in slave mode. The
TTL flash mode cannot be changed! In this
case "TTL" means that the light output is con-
trolled externally and not by way of a metering
cell inside the mecablitz.
8.6.2 Testing the remote set-up
• Await flash readiness of all flash units.
• Fire a test flash with the manual firing button
(test button) of the controller flash unit mounted
on the camera.
• Proper function will be confirmed by a brief
delayed acknowledging flash of the slave.
8.6.3 Changing the remote channel on the
slaves 54 MZ-3/4 and 70 MZ-4
• Continue depressing the "Mode" key on the
mecablitz until "TTL" starts to flash on the dis-
play.
• While "TTL" is flashing, turn the setting disk to
select the remote channel with the address
"Ad1" (address 1 = remote channel 1) or "Ad2"
(address 2 = remote channel 2).
• To store the setting briefly depress the setting
disk in the direction of the arrow. If the setting
disk is not depressed, then the selected setting
will be automatically stored after 5 seconds.
• The display permanently indicates "TTL" (without
flashing), together with "SL" and the remote
channel "Ad1" or "Ad2".
The mecablitz 44 MZ-2 only supports the
remote channel "Ad 1". The remote channel
cannot be changed!
