Initialisation thas to be carried out once again
after the mecablitz has been switched off by
its main switch or automatically.
8.7.3 Changing the remote channel on the slave
To change the remote channel set on the slave it is
first necessary to switch off the mecablitz slave by
its main switch. Change the remote channel on the
controlling flash unit and then initialise once again.
8.8 Illumination
The Metz remote flash mode offers a great diversi-
ty of illumination possibilities to satisfy the creative
initiative of the user. In view of this diversity, these
operating instructions can only cover the principal
basic features. For profound information on speci-
fic applications, please refer to specialised techni-
cal literature.
In principle, the mecablitz units are controlled by
regulation of the flash duration, i.e. all flash units
are triggered and switched off simultaneously.
8.9 Modelling light (ML)
Some mecablitz models offer the possibility to use
a modelling light, which in principle is a strobosco-
pic flash that functions as a quasi-permanent light
of a few seconds' duration (for further details
please refer to the operating instructions of the
given mecablitz). The modelling light function en-
ables the experienced photographer to assess the
prevailing light and shadow situation prior to the
actual exposure.
