Methods of fusion data transfer of the fitting to I Fuse 60 or 105 are:
•
Bar Code (ISO 13950, type 2/5i, 24 digits)
Bar Code contains all the instructions of the fitting's manufacturer useful for a proper fusion. Bar Code contains,
among others, the following information: manufacturer, type, diameter, voltage, fusion time (with the relative
correction of the time according to the ambient temperature) resistance and its tolerance, etc.
•
Manually selection of Bar Code numbers
In the case of the Bar Code cannot be read by the optical reader (defective scanner) it is possible to insert, either
manually, all numbers that compose it.
•
Manually selection of fusion time and fusion voltage
Unlike what stated above, it is possible to directly insert the data relating to the fusion voltage and the fusion time
indicated on the fitting. The user must be aware that in this case ECU is unable to correct the fusion time
according to the ambient temperature.
10.2)
Range of applications
I Fuse 60 or105 is a Multipourpose device able to weld all electrical fittings with an operating voltage (AC)
between 8 and 48 V and at maximum of 50 °C / 122 °F ambient temperature.
10.3)
Limits
10.3.1) Operating limits
ECU(s) can operate within the following functional limitations:
Ambient T.
°C (Celsius) / °F (Fahrenheit)
20 °C / 68 °F
20 °C / 68 °F
20 °C / 68 °F
20 °C / 68 °F
* can vary according to environmental temperature
The cooling fan has an IP55 protection degree and it can operate in dusty and humid environments. Its
operation is due to the thermal load induced by the amount of energy required for the fitting and the ambient
temperature (it does not work with medium-small diameter fittings).
10.3.2) Power supply
Power supply shall be in accordance with the table in clause 4: "Technical Data and Dimensions" (pag. 9).
According to local regulations the ECU supply mains should be provided with: a protective earth circuit, a "slow"
fuse and a RCCB device (residual current-operated protective - circuit breaker).
Connect the ECU only to a good quality voltage.
In case of using a motor generator, its power must be adapted to the diameter of the fitting to be welded,
taking care to choose models with harmonic current distortions contained within 20%. If the generator is not in
double insulation, the connection to earth must be executed in accordance with the applicable regulations and
legislation.
10.3.3) Extension power supply cable
If necessary, use an extension cable having the following features:
