Observe proper battery maintenance
Use only battery chargers made available by MSA for use with this
instrument; other chargers may damage the battery pack and the
instrument. Dispose of in accordance with local health and
safety regulations.
Be aware of environmental conditions
A number of environmental factors may affect the sensor readings,
including changes in pressure, humidity and temperature. Pressure and
humidity changes affect the amount of oxygen actually present in the
atmosphere.
Be aware of the procedures for handling electrostatically
sensitive electronics
The instrument contains electrostatically sensitive components. Do not
open or perform maintenance on the unit without using appropriate
electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. The warranty does not cover
damage caused by electrostatic discharges.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the
limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the
FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable
protection against harmful interference when the equipment is
operated in a commercial environment. This equipment
generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if
not installed and used in accordance with the instruction
manual, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential
area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the
user will be required to correct the interference at his own
expense.
