4.3. Maximum allowable operating pressure and fluid temperature for the shaft seal.

4.4 Minimum inlet pressure.
The maximum suction head "H" in metres can be calculated as follows:
H=Pb x 10.2-NPSH-Hf-Hv-Hs
Pb=Barometric pressure in bar (can be set to 1 bar). In closed systems it is the system pressure in bar.
NPSH=Net Positive Suction Head in metres.
Hf=Head loss in pipe (at the highest flow rate at which the pump will operate).
Hv=Vapour pressure.
Hs=Safety margin (minimum 0.5 metres).
If the calculated "H" is positive, the pump can operate at the maximum suction head. If the calculated
"H" is negative, a minimum suction pressure "H" is required.
Example:
Pb = 1bar
Pump type: VERTINOX 10,50Hz
Flow rate: 10m3 / h
NPSH (from page 12): 2.1 metres.
Liquid temperature: +50
Hv (from fig.4): 1.3 metres.
H = Pb 10,2 - NPSH - Hf - Hv - Hs
